How many companies think it necessary to adorn their aircraft with livery ? Is the discretion assured by an anonymous aircraft far more important than spreading the company message, or is it just not effective advertising ? I suppose with leasing the cost of returning the aircraft to the base-colour would be at client cost, so such things come out very expensive.

Nominations for most garish livery on a postcard please...

I believe it depends on the type of business and the geographic location of their businesses. An American company operating only within the boarders will most likely be the one to have a bold livery. Compare that to an international oil company that operates in sensitive parts of the world, perhaps an all white livery with even a foreign registration to give maximum discretion...

I think someone mentioned that no competitor will want to sublease an aircraft coated with a competitors logo, I suppose this plays a factor in deciding how "loud" you should brand your aircraft...

I have to agree with Rupert, you have to draw a line between private and commercial operated gadgets. Most of our customers having small logos and try to show off with understatement, please keep in mind many BUZjets are ordered by Mr. A years in advance but bought by Mrs. C so this does not leave much to play with.
Never less, we had some wired requests from all black with pink and green strips to a polished fuselage.;)
