View Full Version : Notebook Computer in your Flightbag ?
OK Ladies and Gents, a question:
What kind of computer (assuming that you have one at all) are you packing in your flightbag ? Subnotebook ? PDA ? Dedicated machine given to you by the company ?

Company's given us the mighty Stressberry aka Blackberry.
All our manuals are on CD but they've not supplied a computer.
So I take an Apple Macbook on tour. Many of us use the iBook/Macbook.
I also have a Palm Tungsten T3 that has some nifty programmes for wx/snotam/de-ice calculations.
Typical :D A Macbook eh? I am looking for a subsubnotebook, that is not too much trouble to lug around, but has a screen of at least 9" for reading docs. I have a Dell D400 at the moment, and even that's a little big. my colleague uses one of those tiny widescreen Sony Vaios, but they seem a bit fragile....

A ruggedised subnotebook with touchscreen A5-size would be ideal for me. I have yet to see one though...

Sony VAIO TX15, 11,1". It think it is perfect, but I MAC Air could be nice as well.
BRGDS!

You as well :D
The Mac Air notebook computers are very sexy, but you wouldn't want to open one on your knee. The smaller Vaios are better for that, although I would prefer a more ruggedised tablet solution. I am still using a DELL D400 with a 12" screen.
