I've been reading a lot about the likes of the GV and the Gex. Let's say you have onboard Mister big shot CEO and his staff for a LBG-NRT flight. THat's a long way right? What do the pilots do during cruise and where do they rest?
Airliners have crew rest areas, do ULR bizjets have some too??
Larger business jets have a crew rest area also. It is usually a large seat that reclines almost flat. Unfortunately, this crew rest area is often used as a storgae room by the flight attendant as with an extra long flight, you need an extra amount of food.

OK and once that area is filled with food, are pilots bound to remain seated for the entire duration of the flight?
Under PT91 rules, there are these aircraft without crew rest. Yes, you are expected to be in your seats and arrange shut eye times between bothof you on the long 13.5 hours flight.:cool:

so aside from flying a nice jet, wouldn't it be better to fly for an airline on such long haul flights?
If you like a more structured life-style, then airline is the way to go. I find corporate flying more challenging especially going to nice places and staying for a week in the Caribbean especially is you are actual expenses. If you have a good flight department, corporate flying can be a lot of fun.:)

Actually, I thought so about business aviation and its "never the same thing" life style. I was just asking about flying itself. I put the GV or the Gex as the best machines but 11 hrs in the cockpit without rest...I wonder if that is legal.

I'll be more than happy to fly for that long without rest if it means i'm going to have the next 3 days off to do what I want. the stability is the biggest problem. Me: told that I won't be needed at the end of the year, and it's starting to freak me out:eek:
