Hello everybody, I'm looking to pass an exam in France or in Europe my FAA mechanic license, as far I remember, that was possible in few days with the exam at the end...

I've allready a EASA Part 66 B1 & C license but as I'm looking to get permanently in States I would like have this license in my Resume.

If somebody know some place, I'll appreciate

Regards

1st you need a letter from your employer, if it is JET or RUAG no big deal if you work for TAG.......don't know the guys that well.

2nd a letter from the FOCA or your local authority

3rd I think the easiest way is FRA/Germany as you can do your practical and written exams on one place.

you can also head for flight safety in paris, but they can NOT test the practical side. If you need more information try airmech.co.uk

cheers

FRA has not a separate homepage;)

http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/airmen_certification/airmen_FAQ/

you can make up your mind and look for a FSDO if you klick above.

if you want leave JET, try to do your school/exam ASAP as many US operators/maintenance facilities are only recognizing the A&P. so for them you will be a rookie:cool: You guys must have some US based operators or what about your facilities in the US?

where have you done your type courses? Flight Safety Savannah? might be worth asking them to find you a contact within Gulfstream...

have fun

Well, Work for JET in US is a possibility, but they don't want I leave Geneva, they paid me for stay!!!...I'll use my status now and try to have this A&P ASAP...And then I'll start to look at overseas for job and immigration process...
I passed all my rating courses in Savannah and Yes I've some contact there...Flight Safety also ask me to may be work for them like a instructor but again I need an A&P license I think...

Working for an operator/owner is what I would like instead of a Service Center...It's more than 14 years working for some Service Center and I want some new challenge...

Thanks for the web site link...
