First foreign approvals for Eclipse 500 JetALBUQUERQUE, NM — May 01, 2008 — Eclipse Aviation, manufacturer of the world's first very light jet (VLJ), today announced that it has received certification to register and operate the Eclipse 500 in India and Australia. The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in India granted the first foreign country Eclipse 500 certification on April 7, 2008 and the Civil Aviation Safety Agency (CASA) in Australia approved the Eclipse 500 on April 22, 2008. These certifications expand Eclipse Aviation's global reach and allow its customers to register and operate their Eclipse 500 jets in these two countries.
