This no so much a technical question as a logistics one. When you aircraft has a problem and you need to wait for an engineer, what does your company do for the passengers (who may or may not own the aircraft). Is a short notice replacement crewed corporate jet found? Seats offered on a commercial airline ? Hotels booked while aircraft fixed?
A pilot I was speaking to recently says his company uses a wellknown on-demand jet service as a fallback position if their own aircraft fails. This is not only expensive, but the passenger may start wondering about the wisdom of using such a service full-time...
