Aerotek has a worldwide reputation for top quality, repair and overhaul of landing gear, hydraulic components and wheel reworks, on time, at very attractive prices. This has lead to Aerotek receiving a multi-million pound contract from an overseas government to overhaul their regional commuter aircrafts' landing gear for the next ten years. Aerotek's services include AOG component and gear repairs, on-site servicing repairs, ad-hoc component testing and inspection, and NDT. WHEEL-HUB REPAIR MACHINING Aerotek is the major wheel-hub repair machining shop in the UK: we repair most aircraft wheels, including all Boeing and Airbus wheels. These repairs include manufacturing and fitting bearing cup liners, and bushing of both ends of brake torque bar holes. Foreign body damage to the external surface of the bearing housing is a specialist machining process. Aircraft wheel types we currently repair include: Airbus A300s, A310s, A320s, A330s, A340s and A340 600s Boeing 737s, 747s, 757s, 767s, 777s and 787s Embraer 145s and 195s Fokker 27s, 50s and 100s BAe 146s AVRO RJs and CJs AIRCRAFT WHEEL-HUB MAINTENANCE Aerotek's highly skilled and experienced staff have developed life-prolonging processes for all aircraft wheel hubs, by carrying out specialist machining repairs. IN-HOUSE MACHINE SHOP We have a full and comprehensive machine shop that provides turning, milling, grinding, horizontal and vertical boring, and honing services. We also provide painting, paint stripping, shot peening, dalic plating and alochrome services. TESTING FACILITIES We have a range of services available at our testing facilities, including hydraulic test rigs (skydrol and shell 41), pneumatic test rigs, mechanical testing, non-destructive testing, and dye pen and mag particle testing. AIRCRAFT LANDING GEAR AND HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS These are the regional and commuter aircraft, and landing gear and hydraulic components, we currently focus on: Fokker 27s, 28s, 50s, 70s and 100s Embraer 110s and 120s Twin Otter DHC 6s Piaggio 180s Shorts 330s, 360s and C23Bs BAe 146s Boeing 737s APPROVALS AND ACCREDITATIONS Since 1994, Aerotek has been awarded the following accreditations: EASA 145 FAR 145 TCCB of Canada EN ISO 9001:2000 Two of the biggest wheel and brake shops in the world are already sending all their repair work to Aerotek. A third major shop intends to send its repair hubs to us in the very near future. Aerotek exports 70% of its production, to the USA, Canada, Australia, Scandinavia and Italy.
