Anyone know If there is a prescribed maximum limit for number of takeoff/landings to be performed during one shift ?

Duty limitations is not something that EASA have standerdised. Each country still places its own limitations on crew and can be very complicated. It can depend on the time of the day the crew start as well as the number of flying and duty hours as well as the number of crew caried.

I would suggest you look at the local authorities website the caa in the UK have good information.
