TAP Maintenance & Engineering is the MRO facility of TAP Portugal, the Lisbon-based operator. The company integrates high-quality engineers and technicians with an excellent operational, troubleshooting and repair / overhaul background in several types of engines.TAP M&E provides repair and overhaul for CFM56-3, CFM56-5A, CFM56-5B, CFM56-5C, CFM56-7B, JT3D, JT8D (standard), RB211-524B4 and RB211-524D4 engines. We also offer engineering services, fleet management service, engine lease support, field team services, technical training, logistic assistance, and engine removal and installation services.AIRCRAFT COMPONENT MAINTENANCEWith a know-how accumulated over decades of supporting the TAP fleet and third party customers, the component shop offers overhaul, repair, test and modification for more than 7,000 components. In addition to an extensive shop capability, with a yearly output of over 23,000 LRUs, we offer engineering support, over the counter exchange and access to our stock.A component capability list, which can be supplied on request, details our capability to test, repair and overhaul a wide range of components.AIRCRAFT BASE MAINTENANCEBase maintenance in Lisbon offers a vast span of services including A, B, C, IL and D checks; modifications; structural repairs; ageing programmes; cabin refurbishment; and stripping and painting. Three fully equipped hangars allow us to simultaneously accommodate up to eight narrow-body aircraft, or four wide-body and four narrow-body aircraft.Our base maintenance services can be used on the Airbus A320 family, A300-600s, A310s, A330s and A340s, as well as Lockheed L1011s.AIRCRAFT LINE MAINTENANCEOur aircraft line maintenance department operates in all Portuguese international airports (Lisbon, Oporto, Faro and Funchal-Madeira Is) as well as in some other foreign locations (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Salvador, Fortaleza, Recife in Brazil, and Luanda in Angola).
