Hi,
My name is Tomek and I am F/O on Falcon in Warsaw. Before, I used to fly for several Polish companies (cargo, parachuting, charter, low-fare airline). I began my career as flight dispatcher, I still hold this license (it is licensed in Poland acc. to ICAO Ann. 1 ). I have started few small businesses in Warsaw as well: dispatch company, aviation software, consulting, TRTO organisation.
I am really interested in any aviation start-ups, new business ideas, I think it really good to exchange ideas, experiences to create something new.
Best Regards!
Tomek

Hi, I'm Greg. I'm the guy who runs the server that this forum is running on. I'm a friend of Tornado's.
So, what do I have to do with airplanes? I used to run the website for a major aircraft manufacturer, and before that I worked in their materials laboratory. I'm mostly just lurking around, and I haven't had much to do with corporate jets, though my former employer did produce a few corporate jets along with their other products.

Hello everybody,
My name is Stanley Bugeja and I own a Business Aviation Service company in Malta. (Malta is an EU country, adopted recently the Euro and is a small island sount of Sicily with approx. 400,000 inhabitants) Straight out of school I have always worked for Business and General Aviation companies. In 2002, I identified a niche market on the island of Malta offering business jet aircraft charter brokerage worldwide and handling to corporate and general aviation. In fact today we handle more than 200 aircraft annually and we hope that before year end we would operate the first GAT in Malta (possibly with some international partners, you my follow the progress on my blog as in my signature.
Malta is a country with a vast history, however it has no natural resources and with the ever increasing aircraft ranges, Malta started to loose its strategic geographical importance. Malta's best resources are its culture, history and 300 days of sunshine and beautiful Mediterranean sea and beaches. With new tourism markets gaining the spotlight, mainly from eastern Europe and north Africa, Malta struggled even in this industry, and although it still remains the largest Maltese trade sector, the Maltese government had to take measure not to be so dependent on the one sector.
Malta, being an ex British colony, has two legal and official languages, Maltese and English, most of the legal framework is based on the British and European framework. Combine that with Malta's membership to the EU and the adoption of the Euro, and the government's investment in probaly one of the best legislation with regards to company registration, fiscal and commercial legislation, Malta saw a huge increase in service related industries migrating to Malta. This resulted in an influx of high net worth individuals and organisations who took tax domicile in Malta, because of the high level of education, great fiscal incentives within an EU framework, the english language, relatively low labout cost and a rather stable economy. All this resulted in many more business jets landing at Malta Intenational Airport.
Because of Malta's maritime heritage, Malta has established itself as one of the leading yacth registers, which got me thinking, what if we were to do the same with business jets? Isle of Man have recently successfully launched their own register, and are doing very well. I feel Malta can do better and has more to offer. Malta is a JAA/EASA country, we were actually the first EU country to adopt JAR OPS 1 as our own legal framework. Aircraft owners, operators, and management companies, can get a JAR OPS 1/ EU-1 AOC, in an European Country which is english speaking, has low labur costs, and probably the best fiscal legislaton within the European Union for at least the next 5 years. Practically Malta refund, foreign shareholder's 5/6 of the tax paid, resulting in a net tax after profit of just 5%.
So that is were I am at the present time promoting and assisting individuals, and organisation migrating their business jets to an operation on the Maltese infrastructure.
